Friday Track Training
YTTRC Track coached training session open to all runners, free for members and £1 for non-members. Based at Yeovil Athletic Track, it's near Mudford Rec but can only be accessed from Pickett Lane which is off Marsh Lane. If you park at Mudford Rec you'll have a long walk around to.
6.15 to warm up, aim for at least two laps before the formal start at 6.30
The training sessions are tailored to help any runner improve irrespective of current speed or ability. It's a great session where everyone can train hard at their level with friends of different abilities.
Training normally lasts about an hour.
Sessions are led by a mix of UKA coaches, run leaders and club approved coaches.
If it's your first session just turn up around 6:15. There's a mini stadium everyone groups around. You need to sign in on the register which is normally nearby (normally on some steps except when raining). Once signed in just get warmed up with a couple of laps of the track before the session starts. If you have any questions don't be afraid to ask.
If you can't make Fridays there is also a training session run most Tuesdays during club runs.
