David Richardson Memorial 3K Handicap

This week on Friday 25th July we are asking Club members to take part in this memorial timed handicap event at

Bill Whistlecroft Sports Arena Mudford Rec. (BA21 3DS)

Why? and what’s it all about?

June 2015 Dave Richardson a club member the partner of Denise Byrd unexpectantly died

Dave had been a longtime club member, but his real talent was on the track rather than roads and multi terrain events

At his subsequent funeral his family were so impress by the “YTRRC turnout all in club attire” that the family decided that all the donations at the funeral be donated to the club

As he was a Track Runner the 3K Memorial was born for which there are prizes for male and female winners

The Handicap system works in that every runner has a fair chance of winning

This is a “naked” run so You are asked not to wear your watch or other timing device
