Park Run
From Andy: Woodgate Valley parkrun #41 and 2 weeks to Brighton Marathon.

From Ali: Street park run this sunny morning followed by yummy breakfast and some retail therapy.

From Margarita: Over the border for us today to Newport for our N for the Alphabet Challenge. 3 laps around Tregedar House. And bonus it was their 15th anniversary today.

From Louise: Over the Bridge and on to Newport for Rachael and I for our 'R' which counted for the Alphabet, the PARKRUN and both of our name challenges. It was a lovely out and back route with a couple of wiggles. We both enjoyed it, Rach got her fastest time this year and I got my fastest since my surgery in October and 2nd in age category.

From Gav: Parkrun Tourist at Cirencester this morning, with Daughters & their partners. 3 laps all on grass round the Royal Agricultural University grounds. Staying at the lakes nearby, Howells Mere, Somerford Keynes for Mum’s 80th birthday family celebration weekend.

PUB RUN – BELL INN – ASH – (26TH MARCH 2026)
From Mark: Ann and Guy ran fast tonight. Rob, Julie, Mel C, JC, and myself ran not so fast. Alison, and Mel D also ran not so fast in a different group. Mike walked alone, and Phil ran alone.
Leaving the pub we descended through Witcombe and regrouped outside New Witcombe farm at the bottom. We continued along the undulating lane to Milton and I took some group photos against the old phone box. We continued along Milton lane, and turned into Stapleton Cross. For the next leg we ran onto Martock and continued along Martock main street. At the triangle we turned left, and two more left turns took us heading back to Ash along Martock lane. We passed Phil then Mike before reaching Ash.
The initial part (north of Ash) was very atmospheric, and I had not been along there for ages.
The pub food afterwards was good. Thanks Phil for organising.
Next week, I believe we are returning to Compton Dundon after many years absence. I’m intending to do a route which will include some off-road including woods, and some great hilltop views of the Somerset Levels below. Should be good.
