A big shout out to the Tea Ladies and all those that made or donated cakes.

From Steve: Just to say thanks for all the support you guys it means a lot and definitely helped keep my spirits up. I definitely wouldn’t ever have considered doing this challenge without being involved in this fabulous community and club that is Yeovil Town rrc . Home now and just prepping the a board. A massive thanks to all the committee and club members who make putting on our fundraising races possible and a big thank you to my wingman Graham Still and leading marshal Richard Clayton

From Ann: The easter bunny decided to run the kids race today so pleased as the kids and adults loved it. Then the easter bunny thought why not run the 10k too sensible not but so much fun so pleased 1 hour 10 .43 in that costume. I went down at 4.64 k with a thump so strava did not record it ahh. but the bunny was determined to not give up and carried on blinded by the shower that was going on inside but what an amazing day. Great crowds and a great event run by the club. The weather was lovey and definitely a great time had by all.

The Unbreakable/ Indomitable Treasure Run         Full Results

From Steve: Hurrahhhhhh . Windy and dusty today but definitely character building. Marathon day one, 30 miles day two and marathon today and the old body held up well lol . Kept Jc company today for a bit too.

Brabazon Half Marathon and 10k

From Margarita:  Tracy Symes and I travelled up to Bristol for the Brabazon Half Marathon and 10k to do the half, this is a two laps course and a bit of a mental challenge for me as it was a lot of fast runners so was on my own for the majority but I popped on my music and had a boogie while running. Very pleased with the time as my fastest half for a while at 2hrs 32.

Bless Tracy she started out but felt full of cold and it was affecting her breathing so she stopped after a lap, good effort for doing the one lap.

Weekend Running

From Helen: A morning of all seasons    well done those completing the whole 22 miles, whilst the rest of us enjoyed joining you for the first 15 of those miles  lovely to celebrate your success afterwards of now being able to enjoy your taper, over a lovely spread of sarnies and crisps . Thanks to our support crew, and thanks to Crewkerne Running Club Pre London long run. for the organising, friendly marshals and well needed cuppa and food at the end.

From Anne-Matie: Sunday Social,6 of us today. Natasha led the group and route. Jack the treacle in reverse 10miles. Thanks guys, lovely run. Happy Easter.

From Ali: Lovely Sunday social 10K this morning along ninesprings, up through the hollow and a loop around Bradford Abbas.

From Linda: Good Sunday run around town and Riverside Walk with favourable weather apart from one shower burst. Thanks all for the company. Nice to see Guy and Paul and few times en route.

From Tim: It's great getting back onto the trails and that's what we did at Cavity trays Saturday morning run. Bungy Williams and I cracked out 9 miles while Sharon Hardy, Mel Dodge and Andrew Brown achieved 7 miles. Perfect conditions other than a bit blustery at times. Most even completed a big breakfast afterwards.

Westonbirt House Easter 10k

From Margarita:  Andy Fielding and I went to the Westonbirt House Easter 10k today, it was a drizzly start. A 5km lap you did twice, a nice picturesque route with a fantastic medal, jelly snake and mini eggs. Feeling amazing after running my best 10k in quite a while. Proud I smashed the hills too.

Park Runs

From Helen:  Street Parkrun today… …must admit we enjoyed it more than we did on the one other occasion we’ve done this one, although it was a first for Mel. Killing 2 birds wMel Cox 1 stone was the ulterior motive…needing to go to the ASICS shop - mission accomplished…for mum, Mel and myself  let’s just say they did well out of us  ! After this we needed a nice cuppa and some brekki so headed to The Crispin Hall  oh and I got a mini egg crunch cake brownie and Mel got a white chocolate sprinkle stuffed cookie to take home too  well it is Easter after all.

From Donna:  Travelled to Killerton today for my 'K' managed to score 7 today including position bingo and K for parkrun. It was still there winter course with plenty of ups and downs, enjoyable with lovely views. Carpark free for National trust members and toilets. Summer course starts next week.

From Terry: We traveled to Frome to do the Old Showfield Parkrun, 3.5 laps very friendly PR and good to see Louise there also.

From Rach: Walsall Arboretum for me and Paul this morning. A beautiful two lap relatively flat course. Highly recommended. Speedy Paul nailed it with 21.37!

From Linda: The Great Field today. Quiet a few of us from Yeovil. Apogises that we didn't get everyone. They were either in the loo queue or hiding under shelter. Nobody was expecting the rain this morning. Done my fastest time this year. Not got my official email yet. It was my daughters Heather 50th parkrun.

PUB RUN – COMPTON DUNDON – (2nd APRIL 2026)

From Mark:  After (I believe) a gap of 8 years we were back at the Castlebrook Inn in Compton Dundon tonight. It was good to be back.

Guy and Ann ran fast. Louise, Mel, Rob, and myself ran not-so-fast. Rachael, Gareth, Alison, and Mike walked. Phil ran alone. Fez didn’t run.

So, leading not-so-fast, we left the pub by the back garden, picked up the track, and climbed up through the woods. Thankfully the mud was mostly dry. There were a couple large fallen trees to get past. At the top the terrain was good. A nice path through the woods. We stopped for views at the big chair carved from a tree. We continued to Windmill hill via Hatch Hill, where the Admiral Hood monument stands amongst the trees. To the north of the monument was a fine view of Glastonbury Tor. We descended to the road, and ran back down through the village. Louise left us to return to the pub.

The remaining 3 of us crossed the main road and continued for a second loop. We ran through Castlebrook (meeting Phil), and on into Dundon, circling Dundon Hill. Just before reaching the main road we turned left into fields. Next was a pleasant footpath, flat, and across fields, running parallel to the main road. At the end it was a short leg along roads back to the pub.

Thanks Phil for organising, and the return to this pub. The food was good.

Photos tonight were provided by Ann, Mel, Alison, Rob, and myself.
