Just a few photos but more in the link above.

From Paul Gilbie: Wow, what an amazing night Friday was. Can’t believe the time went by so quickly. Fantastic evening, buffet, venue and company. To have won two awards and get my first Super Slam hat was the best feeling. Although, in truth, everyone in the club really deserves an award for their achievements and commitments, large or small during the year. So proud to belong to our amazing club. Congrats to all the other award winners, all those that encourage and support me and so many others, the thanks for all those who voted, not just for me, but all the award nominees. Now let’s do it all again.

From Lindsay: I think I speak for everyone on here (unlike me I know) but what a running family we are and we certainly know how to put on a party and celebrate everyone's accomplishments in style. Thanks so much to the chairman (my partner) and all the committee for everything they did in arranging the venue, food, hats, awards and speeches for last night. Its why we all run.. Same time next year? Lol xx

Final Standings and Hat Awards

Final Mens Standing     Final Female Standings      Hat Awards

Boscombe 10km

From Terry: Boscombe 10km, 53.13, very pleased with that, was my second race back last year and was over the hour at 60.52. Nice race with one hill, after last week it was just a small lump lol.

Brent Knoll

From Margarita: Back to it today with the Brent Knoll race. Joanna Samuel had her opinions on this one not to do it and I fully understand why she said that. It's a very steep and muddy ascent, filled by a steep and muddy descent. The main highlight is I finished.

Weekend Running

From Sandra: Morning after run …. Missing the run organiser who decided a run was now out of the question!! Beautiful morning!

From Lesley: Nine of us for our Sunday run from Goldenstones this morning, running the East Coker, Barwick, Jack the Treacle Eater loop. Thanks all for the company and Elie for the photos. There will be a few of us missing next week as it's the Full Monty which also happens to be the first 2024 championship race and 10 miler for 2024 hat. However, I'm sure a few will turn up at Goldenstones and find a suitable route.

Park Runs

From Trevor: Teignmouth Parkrun not the promised flat promenade route that we were looking forward to for Mats comeback run! But the hilly B course! But no the less a nice sunny morning run!

From Adam: Weymouth Park Run, cold but a beautiful morning. Our 249th Park Run!!

PUB RUN – YEOVIL – BUNFORD FISH N CHIPS – (23rd November 2023)

From Mark:  I led a group of seven (JC, Chloe, Elie, Kelly, Rachael, Shaun, and myself) tonight from the fish n chip shop at Bunford. After photos were taken near a Christmas tree in the car park we headed westward through Alvington and the park beyond. Dog walkers with illuminated dogs were out in force. We continued through Houndstone and Lufton, and made our way in the darkness to Thorne lane. Turning right at the top we headed eastwards back towards Yeovil. Conditions were mild and dry and the sky was clear of clouds. Passing the Brimsmore estate, we turned right and followed the path down the back of Abbey Manor Park. Turning left, we climbed steps and continued through Abbots Way and Monks Dale. We ran down Larkhill Road, and continued along Preston Grove. The old Westland Sports and Social Club was very busy with some activity going on there. The entrance was already decked out for Christmas. For the final leg we followed the path through Century Park, Bell Chase, and along the edge of the airfield. On the way back we met Phil and the faster group.

The fish and chips afterwards was good with generous portions. Thanks Phil for organising.
