Another Great Night

Released On Today

Awards Night

Well yet another great Awards Night at the Golf Club with excellent food and great company, it is a shame we can't get somewhere local that can take us all with guests and partners. A big thanks to Denise, and Phil for the running of the night. The awards given can be seen here.

Weekend Running

From Mags: Herepath Half course for trail gang this morning. We joined a group of absolute legends to enjoy this beautiful route. Everything was perfect, the weather, the company, the jokes and even the BBQ.

From Amanda: Gorgeous morning for 9mile Jeff with these lovely ladies, thanks Lesley for the route and thanks Laurie for the delicious tiffin afterwards.

From Ali: Sunday social run today. We had a bit of fun with everyone leading the run for 5 mins going round and no one knowing the route. Stopped at the Christmas decorations in town for photo and met everyone in cafe after with yummy tiffin from Lawrie.

From Tim: A very quiet short run from Saturdays Cavity trays run. We reckon all were in recovery after yesterday's ultra night. We all smashed a big breakfast afterwards.

From Helen: Sunday 10 miler complete - lovely fresh sunny morning for it a big group of 17 of us, and faster than expected…especially for me after 2 nights out drinking well done all, thanks for company, and big thanks to Lawrie for delicious tiffin after much appreciated, and thank you for the chai latte Dariusz xx.

Park Runs

From Margarita: Blandford parkrun - Andy and I went to Blandford today, very glad it stopped raining before we started running. A nice out and back along the Trailway, a couple of hills and a lot of mud.

Over to the Black Cactus for a lovely breakfast, thanks for the recommendation Alison Griffiths and thanks to both Ally and Tracy Symes for the advice about the course, parking and toilets, very much appreciated.

From Sarah: 129th out of 415 runners at a cold, but sunny Porthcawl today. Not quite a PB ... 28th lady home and a 75.73% age grading, happy days.

From Adam: Weymouth park walk with an Elf! My 352nd and last for a while.

From Donna: My 100th Parkrun. Has taken a long time to get there. Frogmary was very muddy and the aim of the day was to get around without slipping over.

PUB RUN – YEOVIL – PALMERS FISH N CHIPS – (27TH NOVEMBER 2025)

From Mark:  We had a surprisingly large turn out for the Fish n Chips run tonight. In “not so fast” we had Rob, JC, Nick, Tim with Honey, Sharon, Debbie, Donna, and myself. Fast were Guy, Ann, and Crispian. Phil ran alone, and Mike walked alone. June and Anita joined us afterwards from Hill running, for the meal.

Leaving the car park, we ran through Alvington, to Houndstone, where sadly Rob had to retire after twisting an ankle. We continued through the new housing estates to Lufton and up to Thorne lane. Running eastward we came back into the top end of Yeovil. We ran down the path at the edge of Abbey Manor Park, and into Monks Dale. We continued to the old Sports and Social Club via Larkhill road, and Preston Grove. For the last leg we ran the paths to and along the airfield and back to Palmers. Luckily the run ended just as rain started.

Fish and Chips was good. Thanks Phil for organising.
