Weymouth Half
From Margarita: Weymouth Half today. Third time doing this one and glad the sun was out. Still don't like the Rodwell trail. Thanks to Andy Fielding for the photos and well done all Yeovils, you didn't escape his photos. Lovely to see Connor passing me on the sea front as well.

Rose Run Full Results
From Ann: Well todays not so jolly was down in Winchester with phenix running it was an out and back just under 3 mile laps . First time ive run with them and what a lovely event and really good aid station and lovely ladies they filled your bottle every time you needed it doing and so supportive . They said everyone was talking about me because I was praising everyone as I seen them, a lovely bunch of ladies said I helped motivate them just because I said well done everytime I seen them it made me smile . Especially as this was not the run I had planned food poisoning the night before made it a very interesting run. But the weather was lovely and the scenery was beautiful and met some really lovely people along the way. I managed the ultra distance i wanted just under 32.

Jurassic Express 21k
From Steve: This race has it all - hills (2,000 feet of climbing), fantastic views and a steam train ride back to the start line and the weather was great too.
It starts on Swanage sea front and climbs up onto the coast path, past old Harry rocks, into Studland and across energy zapping sand dunes. More up and downs and one last climb (it’s a cracker of a hill!), onto a ridge and Corfe castle and the finish comes into view….,it looks a long way to go and seemingly not getting any closer despite moving forward….legs are hurting now and a big rock appears from nowwhere and over I go (reckon it cost me 3rd in age place ). A quick check, all ok and 0.5 mile later I cross the line. Really recommend this race.

AWARDS NIGHT
From Denise: Hi everybody, I'm just reporting back on the Awards nights. We've booked the golf club again .Simple reason that Western sports club is booked up for the next couple of years. They only can only seat 120 members and we would have had to share the bar with the ballroom avent if they had a function on. It would be slow and so crowded, so that was a no-go .
And that meant we couldn't have a disco as well.
The manor hotel can only have 120 people maximum but standing room only for a buffet and no dico .So that was no good, either. So for next year, if anybody knows of a venue that would accommodate more members, we should look to it. The date for the Awards night will be on Friday the 27th of November. I will start taking names in August for 100 members.

From Denise: Hi to those who are going to watch the Yeovil half marathon or 10K, I have booked a table for 20 people on Sunday the 29th of March at 2 o'clock at the Barolo Lounge 17 -18 High Street Yeovil BA201RQ .Add your name to the list if you'd like to come .Please look at their menu they would like us to pre-order if you let me know what you'd like to eat I will order it for you .

From Rich: Call for Marshall’s.
It’s only 3 weeks until the start of our summer season races and we start with a busy week, Easter Bunny 10k kicks us off on Monday 6th April closely followed by race 1 of the 5k summer series on Wednesday 8th April.
Please could I ask that anyone who is able to Marshall, tail run or pace (10k) respond to this post indicating which day(s) you can do, I.e please respond ‘ Easter Bunny’ ‘5k’ or ‘both’
Thanks as always for your support at these events, we can’t run them without you.

From Helen: Sunday 12 miler complete Yeovil Half route without the first little loop! We did good massive well done to those doing an extra 2, 5 or 8 miles beforehand and making it look easy!! Thanks for the additional photos Kevin
Good social after with yummy pecan pie bars and toblerone brownies thanks for the chai latter Alison.

From Lesley: Well done all on today's jeffing. Welcome to newcomers, returners and 'injury recoverers'! 10 miles of YHM - we've got this . Great company and, of course, Helen 's yummy cakes after . Thanks Emily for taking the photo.

From Sharon: A mixed bunch for cavity trays this morning. Tim, Amanda, Richard and Honey marathon training, Mel and Sharon hitting 10k, Dave and Denise continuing their couch to 5k training leaving Phil and Mike doing their own thing. Lots of varying abilities and distances in usual cavity trays fashion.
Great work Amanda for achieving her longest run to date.

Park Runs
From Helen: Weymouth Parkrun for a few of us this morning, stunning day for it.

From Trevor: Weymouth Parkrun & Breakfast at E-bike café.

From Taryn: Some of us having completed a sunny FrogMary Green Farm PR this morning. Not quite as muddy as expected.

From Margarita: Nice the sun was shining today. Parkwalker for me and parkrun for Andy, his first time running the great field parkrun. He did well getting round in under 30 minutes.

From Louise: Stonehouse Parkrun this morning for Me and Fez who was finally doing his 25th Parkrun and finished 1st in his age category! . Sunny and 4°. A very small event with only 44 runners. They had only started back last week after 2 months off due to a flooded field. It was mostly 4 laps around a playing field with a small section of gravel path. There were 2 very boggy sections. Very friendly event with car park and toilets on site.
